Tuition
The school offers music lessons to students of all ages and skill levels. Lessons are billed on a flat rate tuition system. You are not paying per the number of lessons in the month, you are paying for a monthly membership. There is a $30 annual registration fee, which is waived when we are running a deal that waives registration.
Membership fee
We charge a yearly membership fee of $30 per student. For families with three or more children, you are charged a maximum of two registration fees annually. This yearly fee is charged every February 10th and helps us continue providing recitals, events, trophies, medals, certificates and full time desk staff, all included in your membership at no extra cost.
Lesson schedule
Lessons must remain consistent in time and day and cannot be changed from week to week, unless the instructor needs to reschedule because of an emergency. To permanently change your weekly schedule, use your student portal or contact the front desk. Schedule changes are based on teacher and room availability, so we advise choosing a day you can commit to long term. Schedule changes cannot be made mid month unless a slot is available.
Open door policy
Parents or legal guardians may enter or leave the room at any time during the lesson. Out of courtesy to our instructors, anyone in the room during the lesson is expected to be quiet and respectful.
Payments
Payments are made monthly by recurring credit card on the 1st of every month. We do not accept cash or checks.
Cancellation and lesson absence
Our schools operate at capacity, so instructors are full each day. We offer three make-up options: connect from home online through your portal at your class time, request a pre-recorded personalized video class with two hours notice, or attend unlimited masterclasses from our group make-up calendar. A filmed video class is only sent to those who request it before their class. If an instructor must cancel for sick or personal reasons, we appoint a qualified substitute and do our best to notify you beforehand.
Average of four lessons per month
Our school closes four times annually for vacations. We operate on a yearly calendar, but you are not tied to a yearly contract. There are an average of four lessons per month throughout the year, and everyone receives 48 lessons per year, the equivalent of four lessons per month.
Teachers
Students have the same instructor weekly unless there is a guest instructor for the day. Occasionally you may receive a new instructor if a teacher is unable to continue or schedules change. Any instructor you receive will be qualified and professional, and learning from multiple perspectives is ideal for long term musical growth.
Withdrawal
A withdrawal notice must be given by the 21st of each month by call, text or email. If this is not done by the 21st, we will not be able to withdraw you until the following month.
Care of students
The school is not responsible for before or after care. Parents with children under the age of eight must remain in the lobby during classes. Students should not be left at the school for excessive periods before or after their sessions. The school is not responsible for any damage to vehicles or items stolen from vehicles.
Sick students
Please keep any sick student at home and connect for the lesson online. Our school sees many students per day, and for everyone's safety we ask that sick students do not come to class. If a student arrives sick, we reserve the right to send them home and make up the lesson by filmed class or group make-up.
Picking up
Children must wait for their parents inside the school. Please do not ask them to meet you elsewhere. The school assumes no responsibility for children who leave unaccompanied.
Calls
All calls are recorded for quality and training purposes.
Refunds
There are no refunds. Lessons are scheduled based on an agreement between the student, instructor and room availability, and must remain consistent in time and day unless an emergency requires rescheduling.
