A La Verne school day

La Verne Heights lets out at 2:00pm for grades K–3 and 2:45pm for grades 4–5, and minimum days end even earlier. Our weekday lessons start at noon, so the timing works on almost any schedule.

A town with serious bands
La Verne’s high schools punch well above their size in music. We teach the one-on-one skills students bring back to these programs.
Bearcat bands & choirs
Marching band, jazz band, concert band, indoor percussion and color guard, plus choirs that include the audition-only Chamber Singers.
Community ensembles
ULV’s jazz, orchestra, chamber and chorale ensembles are open to the La Verne community. The Chorale doesn’t require an audition, which makes it a great goal for adult students.
Old Lordsburg roots
Growing up musical in La Verne
La Verne began as Lordsburg in 1887, and it still feels like a small college town. There are deodar trees along 3rd Street, orange picking at Heritage Park, and a Fourth of July parade that winds through Old Town.
We are a family owned school right here in La Verne. Kids, teens and adults take private voice, piano, guitar, drums, violin and band instrument lessons close to home, without a long drive. We also run Mini Musicians for ages 18 months to 6 and Fairytale Princess Ballet.
Students perform in two free recitals a year and earn trophies and certificates along the way. Lessons are month to month, so families never sign a long contract.

Where is La Verne Music School?+
We are at 1502 Foothill Blvd #104, La Verne, CA 91750, on historic Route 66. That is about 3 minutes from La Verne City Hall and about 4 minutes from Old Town.
Can my child come right after school at La Verne Heights or Grace Miller?+
Yes. Both schools are less than a mile away, and weekday lessons start at noon. That covers regular dismissal as well as minimum days and compact days.
Do you help students in the Bonita High or Damien band and choir programs?+
Yes. Many high school musicians take a weekly private lesson alongside their school ensemble to work one on one on technique, reading and audition pieces. Bonita High and Damien are each about 5 minutes from the studio.
What ages do you teach in La Verne?+
Mini Musicians starts at 18 months, private lessons are available for kids and teens, and we also teach adults, including complete beginners.
How much do music lessons cost in La Verne?+
Private lessons are $47.25 per 30 minute lesson. Mini Musicians is $135 per month and Fairytale Princess Ballet is $125 per month. Lessons are month to month with no long term contract.
Are you open on Saturdays?+
Yes. We teach Saturdays from 9am to 4pm, and Monday to Friday from 12pm to 8pm.
Can we take the Metro A Line to lessons?+
The La Verne/Fairplex station on the Metro A Line opened in 2025. Most families drive, since the studio is a short trip from anywhere in La Verne, but older students and adults can plan a trip from the station. Call us at (909) 774-0311 if you need help.
