San Dimas and La Verne share a school district, a stretch of Route 66 and a friendly football rivalry. Our music school is just over the city line on Foothill Blvd.
Bonita Unified neighbors
Saints and Bearcats, one music school
San Dimas High and Bonita High are both Bonita Unified schools, and every fall they meet in the Smudge Pot Bowl, a game named for the orange groves both towns grew up around.
At our studio, Saints and Bearcats are equally welcome. A private lesson each week is where a student works one on one on the reading, rhythm and technique their school ensemble builds on. San Dimas High has about 150 students in its band program alone.
We welcome younger San Dimas kids too, from Allen Avenue, Shull, Ekstrand and Gladstone elementaries, Lone Hill Middle, and Holy Name of Mary.
From downtown San Dimas
- From City Hall, head east on Bonita Ave.
- Continue into La Verne and turn north on Wheeler Ave.
- Turn onto Foothill Blvd. We are at 1502 Foothill Blvd, Suite 104.
About 2.3 miles and 5 minutes from San Dimas City Hall in light traffic. From north San Dimas, Foothill Blvd (Route 66) runs straight east to us.

San Dimas High’s regular day ends at 3:25pm, collaboration days at 2:25pm and minimum days at 12:59pm. We teach until 8pm, so even a busy band kid can fit a lesson in before dinner.

Music in the Park
Free concerts on Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 9pm all summer, with a special show before the Fourth of July.
Western Days & Holiday Extravaganza
The rodeo and downtown festival in early October, then the “Let It Snow” parade down Bonita Ave and a tree lighting in December.

Is there a music school near San Dimas?+
Yes. La Verne Music School is at 1502 Foothill Blvd #104 in La Verne, about 2.3 miles and 5 minutes from San Dimas City Hall via Bonita Ave. Most San Dimas neighborhoods are 4 to 10 minutes away.
Do you teach San Dimas High band and drumline students?+
Yes. We teach drums, brass, woodwinds, guitar and more, one on one. A weekly private lesson is a great complement to marching band, drumline or jazz band at San Dimas High.
Can my child get to a lesson after school at San Dimas High or Lone Hill?+
Yes. San Dimas High lets out at 3:25pm on a regular day, and the drive is about 7 minutes. From Lone Hill Middle it is about 9 minutes. Weekday lessons run until 8pm.
Is La Verne Music School in the same school district as San Dimas?+
San Dimas and La Verne are both served by Bonita Unified School District, so families from San Dimas High, Bonita High and their feeder schools are all nearby. We are an independent private music school, not part of the district.
How much are music lessons for San Dimas students?+
Private lessons are $47.25 per 30 minute lesson. Mini Musicians is $135 per month and Fairytale Princess Ballet is $125 per month. Lessons are month to month with no long term contract.
Do you offer lessons for young kids and adults from San Dimas?+
Yes. Mini Musicians starts at 18 months, private lessons are open to kids and teens, and adults of every level are welcome, including complete beginners.
