One-on-one lessons for Claremont kids, teens and adults, just west of the Village on Foothill Blvd. Voice, piano, strings, band instruments and more, with weekday lessons until 8pm.
Claremont takes music seriously. Claremont High runs a marching band, a concert band, a wind ensemble and three orchestras, and its choirs compete nationally. Pomona College opens about 45 free concerts a year to the public, and the Village still has a folk music shop on Yale Ave.
What a big ensemble can’t always give a student is one-on-one time. That is what we do. A weekly private lesson works on the individual skills an ensemble depends on: reading, tone, rhythm, technique and practice habits. Students then bring those skills back to their school program.
Our studio is on Foothill Blvd in La Verne, just past the Claremont city line. Most Claremont families are here in about 10 minutes.
From north Claremont, take Mills Ave or Mountain Ave to Foothill Blvd and head west. About 11 minutes from the Chaparral Elementary area without traffic.
Private lessons fit every stage, from a first instrument to a senior-year solo.
CHS offers marching band, concert band, wind ensemble, and string, chamber and symphony orchestras, and it welcomes beginners. Private lessons are where a student can slow down and fix what gets lost in a full rehearsal.
Strings lessonsMiddle school is when many students first choose an instrument, or think about quitting one. A patient private teacher makes it much easier for them to stick with it into high school.
Brass & woodwindsWhether your child is at Chaparral, Condit, Mountain View, Oakmont, Sumner Danbury, Sycamore or Vista del Valle, piano and voice are friendly first instruments, and our weekday hours start at noon.
Piano lessonsStudents from Claremont’s private schools are welcome too, including The Webb Schools, Foothill Country Day and Our Lady of the Assumption.
Seeing live music is one of the best motivators for a young player. Claremont has more free, family-friendly concerts than most towns its size.
