Montclair is compact, and so is the drive. Families from every part of town can be at our La Verne studio in about a quarter of an hour, with lessons after school and on Saturdays.
Montclair kids get early exposure to the arts. Private lessons pick up where the classroom leaves off.
Buena Vista (TK–6) weaves music, dance, theatre and visual art into its teaching, with regular singing and instrumental performances. A weekly private lesson lets a child who loves those moments build real skill on one instrument.
Piano lessonsMiddle school is when many kids first pick up a band instrument or start singing seriously. Starting private lessons then builds habits that carry into high school.
Brass & woodwindsMontclair High’s instrumental music program, the Cavalier Corps, gives students a place to play together. Private lessons add one-on-one work on technique, reading and audition music.
Drum lessonsWe also welcome students from Montclair’s elementary schools, including Lehigh, Monte Vista, Ramona, Moreno and Montera.
Every summer, Montclair hosts free Concerts in the Park on Tuesday evenings at Alma Hofman Park, which local kids know as Shark Park. The lineup has included a mariachi night that shows off guitar, violin and voice together.
Nights like that are how a lot of kids decide what they want to play. When your child comes home asking about guitar, violin or singing, we can take it from there, with patient teachers who specialize in beginners.
We teach kids, teens and adults, so parents who have always wanted to learn are welcome too.
